About the ECC+USA Community

Clergy, professed, and lay members of the Ecumenical Catholic Church+ USA, are dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Through our faith, community, and service, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all who seek spiritual growth and connection. Our inclusive congregation embraces diversity and promotes unity among believers. Join us in worship, fellowship, and outreach as we journey together in faith and love.

And, within this Community, new monastic communities and small Christian communities can form, under episcopai authority and accountability.

We value and celebrate the seven Catholic sacraments and the Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist (Mass). We honor Mary and the saints and we believe in accordance with
the teachings of the Apostles and Early Church..

We name ourselves a “Church”

Church meaning
less an institution and more a people –
the “People of God!”
We believe this is the case wherever two or more
are gathered in Jesus’ name.

Our Community is open to people of all faiths traditions who commit to Christ's imperative to "love God with your whole self and love your neighbor as you love yourself."

Our current membership serves God as
single persons,
married persons,
parents, teachers,
congregations members
counselors,
hospital and police chaplains, members of monastic orders,
and ordained clerics (deacons, priests, bishops).

The ECC+USA meets in Synod/Retreat each year, usually in October, to learn, pray, and socialize, to grow in spirituality and supportive friendship

Our Community offers each member the support of solidarity. As a fellowship of men and women, lay and cleric, married and not, we stand read to assist each other in finding and living
the apostolic ministry to which each of us has been called. We provide encouragement
to each other
"all along the way."

Our Spiritual Underpinning

From the:Gospel of Matthew 25:31-40 (adapted)

“Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that I saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison?'
And the Lord will say: 'Truly I tell you, just as  you did it to one of the least of my brethren, you did it to me.'
